HIS 530 - Issues in African-American History(C)Major historical arguments and historiographical issues in African American history from African origins to the present: origins and nature of slavery, rise of Jim Crow South, urban ghetto formation, civil rights movement. Special attention to teaching materials and methods.Prerequisites: Twelve hours of undergraduate or graduate work in American history, or permission of instructor.(3 cr. hr.)
