SOC 383 - Race, Class, Gender and Crime

(B)Involvement of the poor and minorities, especially African-Americans, Latinos, Asian-Americans, Native Americans, and women in crime and the criminal justice system. Special attention given to the role of racism in theories of crime and criminal law, and the treatment of minorities by the police, courts, and other components of the criminal justice system..Prerequisite: ANT 102 or SOC 100 or SOC150.Also listed as CRM 383.Fulfills Liberal Arts Requirement: LASR(3 cr. hr.)
