SOC 160 - Social Change in the Modern World(B)Examines the ways in which three major events have shaped the modern world and the symbols, images and words with which we attempt to understand that world. The course looks at the effects of the French Revolution of 1789, the Russian Revolution of 1917,and the fall of Communism in Eastern Europe and Russia, not just as the extraordinary events they were in and of themselves but in terms of the enduring impact of these events on the modern world and the way we understand it.Notes: Category CFulfills Liberal Arts Requirement: LASR(3 cr. hr.)
