POL 110 - Politics and Multiculturalism

(A)Introduce students to how and why general democratic theory, key political institutions, patterns of political interaction, and sociopolitical attitudes in the American polity and throughout the world generate or attempt to eliminate injustice, prejudice and discrimination. Problems of racism, sexism, classism, ageism, ableism, religio-ethnic conflicts and prospects for a "just" society will be examined through the lens of post-modernist political theory.Also listed as AAS 120.Fulfills Liberal Arts Requirement: LASR(3 cr. hr.)
