MAT 111 - Algebra for College Students(A)Linear, quadratic and other algebraic equations, proportion and variation, inequalities, linear systems, introduction to functions. Applications are drawn from problems in arithmetic, geometry, data analysis, linear regression and linear programming.Prerequisite: Two units of Regents high school mathematics. Not open to students with credit for any higher-numbered mathematics course.(3 cr. hr.)
