ANT 311 - Peoples of East Asia(C)Examines the cultures of the contemporary East Asian societies from an anthropological perspective with special reference to China and Japan. Course topics may include family and kinship structure, gender and marriage, popular culture, child rearing, subalterns, body culture, work, play and sports. Focus on unique elements in shaping local social structures and cultural forms and what is unique to the social structure of these societies.Prerequisite: ANT 102 or 300.Fulfills Liberal Arts Requirement: LASR(3 cr. hr.)
