PED 668 - Data Driven Instruction

To aid students in gaining knowledge and experience using assessments and analyzing assessment data to inform instruction to foster skill development, cognitive, social, emotional development and fitness and physical activity of learners Pre – K through Grade 12. Prerequisite: PED 603; Prerequisite/Corequisite: PED 665.  (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify and apply developmentally appropriate planning and application of assessment practices in the motor skill, cognitive, social, and emotional learning domains and fitness and physical activity.
  2. Create and implement appropriate formative and summative assessments to monitor students' progress.
  3. Analyze and interpret data (using current technology) to inform planning, instruction, student learning, and performance, and to evaluate PE programs.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to manage and document student learning, track progress and achievement, and link performance to grading.
