PED 621 - Curriculum Construction In Physical Education Program planning applicable to student's local situation. Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Investigate the historical, theoretical and philosophical influences on curriculum construction.
- Create a personal philosophy of curriculum development based on current trends and best practices to assist in curriculum development.
- Examine the role of the standards movement on local, state, and national K-12 physical education programs with regard to curriculum, instruction and assessment.
- Identify and describe various instructional and curriculum models implemented in K-12 physical education.
- Develop curriculum and assessment strategies based on reading and implementing best practices from research.
