HLH 635 - The School Health Program Purpose, implementation, and administration of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Framework. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code A = offered every semester
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain how standard-based health education and the Whole School Whole Community Whole Child framework support the academic achievement and overall wellness of the whole child.
- Evaluate aspects of Whole School Whole Community Whole Child programs, including wellness policies, to ensure effective/proactive involvement of community professionals, diverse families, and district administration.
- Differentiate the roles and responsibilities of the school health education coordinator/administrator and those involved in the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Framework.
- Advocate for, including through social media, effective Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child framework programs to ensure involvement of all components.
