HLH 635 - The School Health Program

Purpose, implementation, and administration of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Framework. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code A = offered every semester

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explain how standard-based health education and the Whole School Whole Community Whole Child framework support the academic achievement and overall wellness of the whole child. 
  2. Evaluate aspects of Whole School Whole Community Whole Child programs, including wellness policies, to ensure effective/proactive involvement of community professionals, diverse families, and district administration. 
  3. Differentiate the roles and responsibilities of the school health education coordinator/administrator and those involved in the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child Framework.
  4. Advocate for, including through social media, effective Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child framework programs to ensure involvement of all components.
