SHH 350 - Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing A survey of the anatomy and physiology for respiration, phonation, articulation, hearing, and nervous systems focusing on skeletal structures, muscles, tendons, nerves, and neurological processes necessary for speech and hearing. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify and label major anatomical structures and systems for speech-language-hearing.
- Describe the physiological functions of these structures and systems.
- Describe the relationship of the anatomy and physiology of these structures and systems to the professional responsibilities of the audiologist and/or speech-language pathologist.
