EDU 201 - Transfer Learning Community Seminar to assist transfer students with specific strategies, skills and resources needed for success as a teacher candidate in an academic degree and professional certification program. Strategies will emphasize building skills for reading, writing and presenting about educational research, policy and practice while becoming a member of the department, school and college community. (1 cr. hr.) Frequency code A = offered every semester
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the structure, processes and policies at SUNY Cortland.
- Identify different learning and program requirements within new program environment.
- Develop skills in creative thinking, decision-making and problem-solving.
- Develop strategies for achieving academic success.
- Identify resources and opportunities for involvement and engagement on campus.
- Demonstrate improved writing and study skills.
- Create a supportive community of fellow learners in the CECE program.
