Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Compare different sociological perspectives on religion.
- Discuss empirical evidence for the continuing importance of religion as well as secularization in modern societies.
- Explore how religion reflects existing power arrangements and perpetuates those dynamics through time.
- Describe the major world religions, including their histories and current states.
