SOC 377 - Crime and Criminal Law Study of legal rules and procedures that are essential to the criminal judicial process. Examination of the English basis for criminal law, an analysis of the relationship between the state and the development of criminal law. Examination of criminal law and rules of evidence with emphasis on the origins, development, scope and impact on the accused, the criminal justice system, and society. Prerequisites: ANT 102 or SOC 100 or SOC 150. Also listed as CRM 377. Fulfills: LASR. Notes: Category A.(3 cr. hr.)
