Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe how cultural practices, social change, and science have affected the emergence and distribution of disease.
- Apply a social epidemiological approach to patterns of disease, morbidity, and mortality.
- Compare the U.S.'s health care and insurance practices to those of other industrialized countries and evaluate future prospects of both.
