Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe how cultural practices, social change, and science have affected the emergence and distribution of disease.
  2. Apply a social epidemiological approach to patterns of disease, morbidity, and mortality.
  3. Compare the U.S.'s health care and insurance practices to those of other industrialized countries and evaluate future prospects of both.
