HLH 309 - Child Abuse Study of child maltreatment (neglect, physical, sexual and emotional abuse). Identification and reporting of abuse and neglect. Fulfills New York State Education Department child abuse recognition and reporting requirement for persons in teacher certification programs. (3 cr. hr.)

- Describe ethical obligations and legalities of those who observe child abuse.
- Explain the history, prevention, challenges, and the future of children who experience abuse.
