GRY 125 - Human Geography and Global Development

A spatial study of race, class and gender relations in the context of contrasting cultures, and the role the relations play in global development — social, political and economic. Fulfills: GE 3, GESS and GE 6, GEWH; LASR. Notes: GRY 110, 120 or 125 meet the prerequisite of "introductory geography."(3 cr. hr.)

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe issues pertaining to interrelationships between people and places.
  2. Describe similarities and differences between U.S. society and another contemporary culture.
