CHI 202 - Intermediate Chinese II Continuation of work undertaken in Intermediate Chinese I. Prerequisite: CHI 201 or equivalent. Fulfills: GE 9, GEWL; LASR. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code S = offered in spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Comprehend and produce spoken Chinese at a level commensurate with the novice high level or higher as described in the current ACTFL Proficiency Benchmarks and Performance Indicators for language learners in listening and speaking.
- Comprehend and produce written Chinese at a level commensurate with the novice mid level or higher as described in the current ACTFL Proficiency Benchmarks and Performance Indicators for language learners in reading and writing.
- Analyze and interpret Chinese culture in terms of products, practices, and perspectives at a level commensurate with the intermediate level or higher as described in the current ACTFL Proficiency Benchmarks and Performance Indicators for language learners in intercultural communication.
