The inclusive special education major prepares students to have certification in teaching children with disabilities in grades one through six.

A. College-wide and General Education Courses

GE 2: Natural Sciences
- Any combination of the Natural Sciences, although SCI 141 and SCI 142 are recommended
GE 4: United States History and Society
GE 5: Western Civilization
GE 6: Contrasting Cultures
GE 8: The Arts
Any GE 8 course GE 9: Foreign Language
- Program Requirement: foreign language through the 102 level (six credit hours)
- American Sign Language Language (ASL) is recommended
GE 10: Basic Communication
- Select either CPN 100 or 102 and CPN 101 or 103.
- Additionally select one course fulfilling the Presentation Skills Requirement, FSA 101 is recommended.
GE 11: Prejudice and Discrimination
GE 12: Science, Technology, Values and Society
Any GE 12 course GE 13: Natural Science - Second Science Requirement
Any combination of the Natural Sciences, although SCI 141 and SCI 142 are recommended B. Content Core: 24 credit hours

C. Inclusive Special Education Requirements: 31 credit hours
D. Minor in Psychology of the Exceptional Child: 21 credit hours
Completion of the Minor in Psychology of the Exceptional Child, including the following courses: E. Application and Reflection on Teaching: 16 credit hours
F. Free Elective Courses: Four credit hours
Total Credit Hours Required for Graduation : 124-126
