The B.S. requires 0-3 credit hours of foreign language.
This major in the Psychology Department provides a broad base of understanding of psychology as a science — the methodology of the discipline, the principles and concepts in major areas, and selected areas of application. Major areas include foundational methods courses, as well as a broad range of areas represented by the content and applied course selections.

1. Required Psychology Courses: 36 credit hours
A. Foundation and Methods Courses: 15 credit hours
B. Content Groups: 12 credit hours
One course must be taken from each content group. Developmental Changes in Behavior and Mental Processes: Three credit hours
Learning and Cognition Processes: Three credit hours
Biological Bases of Behavior and Mental Processes: Three credit hours
Individual Differences, Personality and Social Processes: Three credit hours
C. Application of Psychology: Nine credit hours
Select three courses from the following: 2. Related Area Requirements: 21-22 credit hours
Biology: Six credit hours
Anthropology/Sociology: Six credit hours
Philosophy: Three credit hours
Other philosophy courses may be substituted with the approval of the Psychology Department. Mathematics: Three-four credit hours
Choose from the following courses, or any other undergraduate mathematics course that has any of these as a prerequisite. Computer Applications: Three credit hours
3. Additional Degree Requirements: Nine credit hours
Bachelor of Science candidates must take an additional nine credit hours of biology, chemistry, mathematics or physics. These additional nine credit hours may not include courses used to fulfill the "Related Area Requirements" above. Select any three courses: Mathematics
