This major prepares students to have dual certification in early childhood education and childhood education for teaching from birth through grade 6.

A. College-wide and General Education Courses: 44 credit hours [CHD]
General Education Program
GE 2: Any GE 2 course
Recommended: GE 5: Any GE 5 course
Recommended: GE 7: Any GE 7 course
Recommended: B. Content Core: 31 credit hours
C. Pedagogy Courses: 50 or more credit hours
D. Concentration in an Approved Liberal Arts Area:
30-33 credit hours with a minimum of 18 credit hours at the 300 and 400 level.
Credit hours vary depending on area chosen. Requirements in General Education and content core may reduce the number of credit hours in a concentration. Approved concentration requirements are listed in the Chemistry and Childhood/Early Childhood Education programs. Total Credit Hours Required for graduation From the College: 128
