The childhood education major prepares students to become elementary school teachers in grades 1-6. Students learn to develop curriculum in all areas of the New York State Learning Standards.

30-33 credit hours with a minimum of 18 credit hours at the 300 and 400 level. Credit hours vary depending on area chosen. Requirements in General Education and content core may reduce the number of credit hours in a concentration.
