ECO 324 - Asian Development and Emerging Markets

Analysis of the economic systems of emerging markets. Policy implications for emerging countries and for developing countries will also be discussed. Not open to students with credit for ECO 314. Prerequisite: ECO 105. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Discuss economic development issues in China as well as in other important emerging countries.
  2. Interpret quantitative and qualitative data about emerging countries.
  3. Apply critical thinking skills to analyze social and economic issues with regards to conducting business in emerging markets.
  4. Interpret the risks and challenges of emerging markets.
