ENG 209 - Introduction to the Digital Humanities Introduction to basic theories and methodologies of the digital and public humanities including topics such as data visualizations, podcasting, and extended realities (AR/VR) with hands-on work with digital tools. Fulfills: GEHU, GEST; LASR. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code C = offered at least once every two years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the history of development and use of digital tools and how they have been used as aids to research in the humanities.
- Demonstrate an understanding of metadata and its relationship to data in creating and using digital humanities tools.
- Work collaboratively to create and use digital tools.
