REC 153 - Leisure: The Pursuit of Happiness

An exploration of the role of leisure and surrounding issues relative to individual, society, and culture in the United States. Includes opportunity for self-discovery and critical reflection on societal values of leisure. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Evaluate and critically review leisure concepts and their impact on their lives.
  2. Discuss society's view of leisure and how it impacts individual leisure choices.
  3. Apply a leisure philosophy/model to one's own leisure choices.
