ATS 351 - Typography II

Advanced study of typography theory, letterform, and design principles through an exploration of legibility, design processes, type as creative expression, and the typographic grid system.  Prerequisites: ATS 240 and 241. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code C = offered at least once every two years

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Apply visual organization to text and images
  2. Create functional and expressive typographic forms and spaces
  3. Employ typographic design process, research, and design principles to create experimental typography
