ANT 411 - Human Osteology

In-depth study of human skeletal anatomy with emphasis on anthropological applications, including bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology. Prerequisite: ANT 104. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Apply anatomical terms to the human skeleton.
  2. Identify bones and anatomical features of the human skeletal system.
  3. Analyze morphological variation in human skeletal remains.
  4. Describe ethical issues related to the study of human skeletal remains.
