Extensive readings on social, historical, literary, economic development in Latin America. Prerequisite: One of the following: SPA 306, 307 or 308. Fulfills: GE 6, GEWH; LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Use Spanish to demonstrate an understanding of the distinctive features of the geography, history, and culture of Latin America.
  2. Use Spanish to interpret critical readings in Latin American culture and history.
  3. Improve Spanish pronunciation and writing skills.
