HLH 232 - Nutrition

Selection of foods, health products, services as basis for healthful living; health, nutritional needs at various ages; research findings, their application. Health majors only. Not open to student with credit for HLH 323. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Evaluate nutrition-related information, in terms of validity, accuracy, currency and reliability. 
  2. ​Gather nutrition-related information, using the latest technology, for understanding nutrition-related health problems, program planning, delivery and evaluation. 
  3. Develop a variety of educational methods for teaching nutrition to school and community groups.
