MGT 385 - Human Resource Management

Strategic role and functional responsibilities of human resource management in a multicultural society. Prerequisite: MGT 250. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Define and describe the basic principles of strategic human resource management.
  2. Evaluate how an organization recruits, rewards, motivates, and manages employees effectively.
  3. Describe  and interpret the basic legal and conceptual framework for Human Resource Management.
  4. Identify and assess the practices and techniques used to evaluate performance, structure teams, and coach and mentor employees.
