ECO 313 - Economic Development of Asia

Overview of economic history and current economic concerns of different subregions of Asia (East, Southeast, South Asia in particular). One or more countries will be emphasized, and specific economic issues of current interest will be analyzed. Not open to students with credit for ECO 321. Prerequisite: ECO 105. Fulfills: LASR; WI. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code C = offered at least once every two years

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Discuss economic development issues in Asian countries.
  2. Interpret quantitative and qualitative data about the economic development of Asian economies.
  3. Apply critical thinking skills to analyze social and economic issues in regards to conducting business in Asian markets.
  4. Interpret the risks and challenges of Asian markets.
