ATS 315 - Figure Drawing II Advanced methods and practices of observational figural drawings from a live model. Focus on experimentation, research, correct form, proportion, and utilizing varied materials and processes. Group discussion, critique, and written documentation will be used to enhance and develop personal concepts. Prerequisite: ATS 215. Fulfills: LASR. Notes: The State University of New York at Cortland reserves the right to select and retain indefinitely any student art work done in connection with course work completed at the university. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code C = offered at least once every two years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe the elements of art and principles of design with their own work.
- Apply principle of visual organization within work.
- Employ a visual vocabulary to critically evaluate works of art.
