AFS 102 - Heritage and Values of the United States Air Force II

Continuation of AFS 101. A survey course designed to introduce students to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and provides an overview of the basic characteristics, missions, communications and organization of the Air and Space Forces. (1 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe basic characteristics and nature of warfare as it pertains to the US military.
  2. Recall the importance of proper social media interactions for members of the Air and Space Forces.
  3. Describe how the principles of war and tenets of airpower contribute to warfare.
  4. Recognize the Air Force and Space Force organizational structures, their missions, and leadership positions in each service.
  5. Describe the levels of Air Force Doctrine and the types of operations providing airpower to the United States.
