HIS 561 - Teaching Global History Conceptual examination of the teaching of global history. Open only to students in the M.A. and adolescence education: social studies (7-12) M.S.Ed. - history concentration programs. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Evaluate different approaches to the periodization of global history.
- Identify significant categories of analysis, including race, class, and gender, relevant to the teaching of global history.
- Develop teaching strategies for middle and high school students studying global history.
