HIS 560 - Teaching U.S. History Conceptual examination of the teaching of U.S. history. Open only to students in the M.A. and adolescence education: social studies (7-12) M.S.Ed. - history concentration programs. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Evaluate different approaches to the periodization of U.S. history.
- Identify significant categories of analysis, including race, class, and gender, relevant to the teaching of U.S. history.
- Develop teaching strategies for middle and high school students studying U.S. history.
