SHH 643 - Clinical Practicum and Seminar: Instrumentation An in-depth study and training of instrumentation used for assessment and treatment in the field of speech pathology. This course partially fulfills ASHA requirements for clinical hours. Open to students in the M.S. program in communication sciences and disorders. Prerequisite: SHH 640. (1 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- State the role of the speech pathologist in the use of instrumentation in the evaluation and treatment of speech and swallowing disorders.
- Use various forms of instrumentation in the lab setting.
- Write treatment plans/goals with the use of data from instrumentation.
