HLH 550 - Women's Health Wide range of topics regarding women's health addressed from personal, institutional and sociocultural perspective. Examination of health problems unique to women, review of some of the political aspects of women's health care, assessment of research needed in the area of women's health included. (3 cr. hr.) Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain various models used to study women's health.
- Discuss social, cultural, political, and economic factors that shape women's health-related choices.
- Analyze intersectionality of sexism, racism, and heterosexism and women's health.
- Examine biomedical aspects of women's health problems.
