MAT 437 - Complex Analysis

Introduction to integration, differentiation and series expansion of functions of a complex variable. Prerequisite: Grade of C- or better in MAT 224 and MAT 237. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Perform algebraic/arithmetic operations on complex numbers and functions.
  2. Find zeros, poles, singularities, and real and imaginary parts of complex functions.
  3. Determine if complex functions are analytic and find their derivatives.
  4. Evaluate path integrals of complex functions.
  5. Determine the power series or Laurent series of complex functions.
