HLH 465 - Legal, Ethical and Policy Issues in Healthcare

Overview and exploration of legal, ethical and policy issues faced by healthcare administrators. Prerequisites: CPN 101, HLH 203 and HLH 380. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe ethical principles' application to health care delivery.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of critical ethical considerations applied to health care.
  3. Discuss important health care, legal and policy ethical issues.
  4. Explore influences of decision-making among peers, empathy and awareness as an ethical leader.
