SHH 371 - Fluency and Voice

Fluency disorders and phonatory/resonance disorders (theories, characteristics, etiologies and clinical management) will be presented. Physical, cognitive and affective attributes of fluency/voice disorders will be discussed. Prerequisite: SHH 281. (3 cr. hr.)

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify concepts and terminology associated with fluency and voice disorders.
  2. Explain assessment procedures for individuals with fluency and voice disorders.
  3. Describe general treatment approaches for fluency and voice disorders.
