HLH 555 - Health and Aging

Examination of the aging process with focus on important health issues, problems, concerns. Areas addressed include nutrition, fitness, emotional health, sexuality and health policy. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe important health issues of the aging population. 
  2. ​Explain health policy related to aging. 
  3. Identify methods to diminish health issues of the aging population. 
  4. Describe the effects ageism has on health outcomes related to older adults.
