Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explain the historical development of juvenile delinquency's creation, the establishment of juvenile justice systems, and the legal framework for juveniles' rights. 
  2. Analyze the patterned and systemic inequality present in juvenile justice systems, particularly with respect to race, class, and gender.
  3. Apply central theories of juvenile delinquency to current offending and victimization patterns in the US.
