COM 333 - Critical and Cultural Analysis in Communication Studies

Examines critical positions that have emerged in recent years to redefine communication studies. Emphasizes rigorous thinking in challenging cultural and critical assumptions in the field. Prerequisites: CPN 101 or 103 and COM 301. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code C = offered at least once every two years

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of contemporary critical positions that redefine communication studies.
  2. Analyze the critical and cultural assumptions within the field.
