COM 470 - Communication Campaigns

Theory and practice of communication campaigns in areas such as public relations, advertising and politics. Prerequisite: COM 371 and COM 372. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code C = offered at least once every two years

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe the research-objective-programming-evaluation-stewardship components of the public relations planning process and integrate them into a strategic communication plan.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of primary and secondary research methods.
  3. Apply strategic, creative thinking in the development of a campaign and campaign materials.
