ATS 403 - Painting IV Intensified study of painting concepts, techniques and historic context. Development of series work through individual experimentation and research with greater emphasis on unique solutions pertaining to student's personal creative interests. Group discussion, critique and written documentation of process. Prerequisite: ATS 303. Fulfills: LASR. Notes: The State University of New York College at Cortland reserves the right to select and retain indefinitely any student artwork done in connection with course work completed at the university.(3 cr. hr.) Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify unique systems and methods for generating cohesive conceptual work.
- Demonstrate advanced technical understanding of paint materials and supports.
- Produce finished series paintings that reflect unique solutions pertaining to student's personal creative interests and consideration of historical contexts.
