SPM 440 - The International Experience in Sport(B)Focus on the globalization of sport with an emphasis on the organization, governance, and management of international sport, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games and FIFA WorldCup. Comprehensive investigation of the structural and cultural environments in which U.S. organizations and corporations must consider in conducting business in foreign markets. Major semester long project includes the development of a bid document for a U.S.city to host a major international sports event.Fulfills Liberal Arts (LAS) Requirement *(3 cr. hr.)
