SOC 401 - Sociology of Sex and Gender

(C)Theoretical, empirical examination of male and female experiences of inequality in social institutions; changing sex roles; gender socialization, and the interaction of biology and culture. A comparative perspective is used and theoretical differences between sex and gender are investigated sociologically.Prerequisite: SOC100, 150 or ANT 102.Fulfills Liberal Arts (LAS) Requirement *Notes: Category B(3 cr. hr.)
