PED 530 - Introduction to Adapted Physical Education(F)Designed to aid educators in developing a knowledge base in many issues related to individuals with disabilities, with an emphasis on early intervention and a wellness approach to adapted physical education. Additional topics to be addressed include: laws and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and families of individuals with disabilities. An overview of the more common disabilities is presented, as are the resource skills to acquire information on rare disabilities.Prerequisite: PED 336 or 356 or permission of instructor.(3 cr. hr.)
