This graduate program is designed for those working, or who would like to work in local health departments, voluntary health agencies, health care facilities, and human service agencies. This program is also suitable for those students seeking a career change to community health education, and graduates of undergraduate health education and health science programs. This program is for those students seeking a master's degree in community health and is designed as a part-time, 30 credit hour program, delivered primarily over three summer sessions through a combination of traditional campus-based classroom and on-line courses. The Master of Science in Community Health (MS_CHEA) consists of a department core of three required courses, a community health education practice core of four courses, two health elective courses, and a required three credit culminating experience project demonstrating practical application of the required courses in a real world setting.
