The minor in Graphic Design and Digital Media provides exposure to the changing area of digital media. Minors have the opportunity to develop digital skills in graphic design, typography, print processes, animation, interactive design, video, photography, audio and multimedia.

Requirements for the Minor

A. Core: 9 credit hours

ATH 331 - History of Graphic Design (3 cr. hr.)
ATS 240 - Graphic Design I (3 cr. hr.)
ATS 241 - Typography I (3 cr. hr.)

B. Electives: Specialization in one of the following tracks:

Track A. Graphic Design Minor for ARTS and BFAS Majors [GDMA]: 12 credit hours

To be taken in addition to core group (9 cr. hr.)

1. Studio Course Requirement: 3 credit hours

ATS 342 - Visual Design for the Web (3 cr. hr.)

2. Art History Requirement: 3 credit hours

ATH 320 - History and Theory of Digital Arts (3 cr. hr.)

3. Additional Elective Requirements: 6 credit hours
