Students with an archaeology concentration acquire field experience and gain an understanding of the theoretical issues related to both general anthropology and archaeology, including management of cultural resources. Projects can be tailored to student interests and include working with the department’s ethnographic and archaeological collections. (e.g., Environmental Protection Agency)

A. Core Courses Required of all Majors: 12 credit hours
B. Required Americas Archaeology Concentration Courses: Six credit hours
C. Required Americas Archaeology Breadth Courses: Six credit hours
D. Required Fieldwork Laboratory Courses: Three credit hours
